Mortgage Loan Officer


Job Description:    Originate residential mortgage loan production.  Implement loan programs offered by the Bank and its approved investors.  

Education:    High school diploma or GED and the equivalent of one year of college.

Experience:    One to two years experience as a Loan Officer, three to five years experience in mortgage lending, one year as a management trainee or two to three years experience in outside sales.

Requirements:    Candidate must be outgoing, sales-oriented, reliable and conscientious with excellent oral and written communication skills.  Knowledge of branch policies and procedures, bank products and operations is a must.

Customer Service Associate
 

Job Description:    This position is responsible for accurately and efficiently operating a CSA station while conforming to First South Bank's internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory policies and procedures.  Accepts deposits and payments within prescribed operational guidelines; cash checks within assigned limits and follow First South Bank's cash handling policies and procedures.  Also responsible for providing exceptional customer service.

Education:    High school diploma or GED.  Continuing education classes in banking-related courses helpful.

Experience:    Three to six months of cash handling and customer service experience required.  Previous banking experience preferred.

Requirements:    Candidate must be outgoing, sales-oriented, reliable and conscientious with excellent oral and written communication skills.  Knowledge of branch policies and procedures, bank products and operations is a must.  Proficiency with the Bank's core teller system is required.

Job Description:     This position functions as a sales performance and retail leader; one who serves as a positive, professional and energetic role model while promoting a positive public relations image. A Financial Services Associate will be responsible for assisting customers in all aspects of their banking relationship while generating new deposit relationships by leading internal sales and marketing; as well as promoting outbound calling efforts.

Deposit Operations Representative

Job Description:     This position will be responsible for the maintenance, service and support of all deposit and operations systems functions for the Bank.  Some specific duties include providing branch support in all deposit related areas, entering PIN offsets for all new card orders submitted to the host system, handling all deposit and teller adjustments with the Bank’s Item Processor and providing Online Banking and Bill Payment support. 

Education:      High school diploma or GED.  Continuing education classes in banking-related courses helpful.

Experience:    Two to three years of previous banking experience as a Customer Service Associate or Retail Sales Associate or related area preferred.

Commercial Loan Post Closing Document Review Specialist 


Job Description:    This position is responsible for reviewing commercial loan documents to ensure that all loan documents are complete, accurate and legally enforceable, compliant with various bank policies and regulatory requirements, and consistent with the terms and conditions approved by the Bank’s lending authorities. This person will also need to be able to converse with the Bank’s Commercial Lenders as well as attorneys regarding any discrepancies with loan closing documents.

Education:    Associate’s degree in Business or Finance related field or commensurate experience in commercial loan operations or paralegal.

Experience:    Previous experience in loan operations preferred.

Requirements:    Must possess strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and the ability to deal effectively with all types of clients, business associates and management.  Associate’s degree in Business or Finance related field or commensurate experience in commercial loan operations or paralegal.  Expertise with Microsoft Office Products required.  Ideal candidate should possess outstanding communication skills, organization skills and be detail oriented.  Team oriented personality required.
